Google Fiber installation to be streamed LIVE!

Ustream

UPDATE – This event has been postponed by one day.  New date/time is November 13 @ 1pm CST.

When we received the phone call from Google that their technicians would begin the final fiber installation process on November 12 November 13 @ 1pm CST, Matthew Marcus of Local Ruckus let out an almighty hoooooooowwwwwwllllll!  Once he finally composed himself, we started talking about our excitement and anticipation of finally getting to use the Internet at 1Gps speeds.  Then we got to thinking … why should we be the only ones to experience this?  There are probably hundreds if not thousands of people who would love to also be a part of this exciting moment.

After some brainstorming, we figured the best way to include others in the installation, setup, testing and launch event is to live stream it.  So while we snap photos and record videos, we’ll also stream the action live to anyone and everyone around the city, country and world.

You can watch all of the action by clicking HERE.  If you happen to be tweeting during the event, please use the hashtag #KCSV.  We’ll be monitoring that tag for any comments, questions or suggestions you might have.

See you in approximately 2 days, 11 hours, 6 minutes and 22 seconds…
